Temp work is usually your typical 9-5 office job.
You can work one day, two days, or a week at a time, it all depends upon the assignment.
I’ve spent a full day filing files, stuffing envelopes, answering phones, or making travel arrangements for executives. There are a variety of temp jobs for a variety of different skill levels. It is perfectly fine if you have never even stepped into an office, as long as you have the right attitude, and a neat, clean appearance, there’s a tempjob for you.
Office jobs typically don’t allow you to pop out for an audition, so I only book temp work when I know I won’t have an audition that day – or when I book a gig and I have a few weeks before it starts.
It’s a great way to get some experience on your resume if you ever want to go into the business world at a later date – and a great way to get a peek into the business world, if you want to see if it’s right for you.
